In celebration of Read Across America Day 2018 and Dr Seuss' birthday on March 2, Gems employees volunteered to read to first grade students at Smalley Academy in New Britain, Connecticut.
Read Across America is an initiative to promote children's reading created by the National Education Association. The event was organized by United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut and volunteers read to students in New Britain, Hartford and East Hartford. This year volunteers read the book "I Wish That I Had Duck Feet" by Dr. Seuss.
