Gems Sensors, an Operating Company of Fortive, participated in Fortive's first annual Day of Caring. During the month of September, Fortive invited every team member across 25 Operating Companies to dedicate a day to community service, which resulted in an estimated 150,000 total volunteer hours donated.

Gems' employees participated in volunteer events within Plainville, Connecticut and surrounding towns. Volunteer events included: Plainville Community Food Pantry, Boys and Girls Club of Bristol, Foodshare of Bloomfield, Habitat for Humanity in Hartford, Gifts of Love Community Farm in Simsbury, as well as individual volunteer projects.

The international initiative empowers employees to give back to the communities in which they work and live and celebrates Fortive's passion for accelerating progress.
